Jacobson Medical (Hong Kong) Limited (referred to as “”Jacobson””, “”we””, “”us”” and “”our””) recognise their responsibilities in relation to the collection, holding, processing, use and/or transfer of personal data under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“”PDPO””).

Types of personal data collected by us may include, without limitation:

(c) Your credit card information such as name of cardholder, card number and expiry date;

2.2 The provision of personal data by you is necessary in order for us to provide you with the requested services and for us to perform our contractual obligations (if any) to you (as one of the legitimate interests of Jacobson. If you do not supply such data, we may be unable to provide the information, products or services you have asked for or process your requests, applications or purchase order.
2.3 Direct marketing
We may use your personal data to send you news, offers and promotions and we require your consent for that purpose. We may contact you by email, in-app notifications, social media, text/picture/video message or mail. If you prefer not to receive any direct marketing communications from us or our marketing partners, you can opt out at any time by updating your preferences through your registered account or an unsubscribe link provided. Upon receipt of your request, we shall cease to so use your personal data as soon as possible without charge to you.
3. Disclosure and Transfer
3.1 We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to or with third parties including our business partners. However, your personal data may be disclosed or transferred by us to the third parties (whether in your jurisdiction or abroad) in the circumstances described below for their use and/or access for the purposes specified at paragraph 2 above:-
3.1.1 We may disclose and transfer (whether in Hong Kong or abroad) to third party agents and/or contractors engaged by us (“”Third Party Service Providers””), who are under a duty of confidentiality, to assist with providing you our services (including data entry, management of our customer database, processing and effecting the order, delivery, refunds and/or repair relating to the products which were sold on the Website, contacting you for promotion or other customer service and securely disposing of the personal data). Our Third Party Service Providers are under a duty of confidentiality and bound not to use your personal data for their own purposes (including direct marketing);
3.1.2 We may disclose and transfer (whether in Hong Kong or abroad) to competent court of law, law enforcement agencies and/or law-related organisations, governmental and regulatory bodies, advisers, auditors, financial institutions, insurers and other relevant orgnaisations in connection with our operations or services, for compliance with applicable laws and regulations and protection of our legal rights;
3.1.3 We may also disclose and transfer (whether in Hong Kong or abroad) to any of our actual or proposed assignees or transferees of our rights with respect to your personal data in connection with a re-structuring of our business, and/or merger (as between us and a third party), sale, or transfer (whether of assets or shares, in whole or in part), to use, hold, process or retain such personal data in accordance with this Statement.
4.1 Personal data stored electronically are password-protected. Encryption technology is used on our secured web areas. Our computer systems are placed in restricted areas. We only permit authorized employees to access personal data. These employees are trained on our privacy policies.
4.2 All reasonable efforts are made to ensure that any personal data held by us is stored in a secure and safe place, and accessed only by its authorised employees or authorised Third Party Service Providers.
4.3 The User should be aware that no system is impenetrable and no information provided over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that the User transmits to it or receive from us over the Internet.
Unless there is a mandatory legal requirement for us to keep your personal data for a specified period, we will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfill the original or directly related purposes for which it was collected.
